The 2004 Shiraz (100% Shiraz from a 90-year-old vineyard) was aged in primarily used French barrels (20% new) for 12 months prior to bottling. As in its two siblings, the alcohol is in the 14% range. This deep ruby/purple-colored, elegant Shiraz exhibits sweet floral, black currant, and blackberry aromas intermixed with notions of crushed rocks and subtle wood. Pure, rich, and multi-layered with considerable soul and personality, this beauty can be drunk now and over the next 10-12 years.
